Frattini to visit Iran in March

According to the article Italy's Foreign Minister Franco Frattini will visit Iran in March. The meeting will discuss their involvement in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The goal at hand is regional stabilization and after a conference with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the US gave their support on inviting Iran to meet with the G8 in June in Trieste. An Iranian Prime Ministry reported that they "continue to support Afghanistan's stability and security". Rome also wishes to invite other nations such as Turkey, China and the Gulf States. As the leader of the G8, Italy is playing its part in making the world a united state.
